Walking into Oasis located on N 7th st right next to the Bedford Avenue L Train made me think for a second that I was vacationing in the Middle East.

Let me start off by saying that ever since I stepped foot in this falafel dispensary, I have not stopped raving about it. You know it is serious when I announce how damn good this place is at the table for Easter Dinner.

First let us take a moment to appreciate their hours: 11am-3am....every..damn..day.
Breakfast: Falafel. Lunch: Falafel. Dinner: Falafel. Dessert: Falafel. Hungover: Falafel.

One aspect of Oasis that you notice as soon as you walk through the door is their efforts to make your dine-in or take-out experience cultural. This small Middle Eastern restaurant with 6 small tables and a few stool seats is literally #culturalgoals. From the authentic cuisine to the authentic middle eastern employees, you will quickly realize that you are not in Kansas anymore. AND if you are lucky, you will catch them shaping and deep frying the falafel.

What do they offer that is 100% Vegan: Falafel Sandwich and The Falafel Plate...do not stress out when you see that out of the many different options they have, they only have two vegan options. Those two are the ONLY items you need in your life.

What did I order: I ordered the Falafel Plate. I have a huge conspiracy theory (right?) with sandwich vs platter options. I always believe that they give you way more bang for your buck with the platter so I choose the platter option ALWAYS!

What does the Falafel Plate come with: LITERALLY everything you have every wanted. To start, they even give you a full pita on the side because if you weren't fully commited to the platter and are still thinking potentially sandwich...they were like "hey you can make it yourself"#respect. They then mount Fresh lettuce, fresh middle eastern sour pickles, red pickled cabbage (so good), spiced sweet (I think pickled too) onions (so cruncy and fresh), a HUGE serving of baba ghanouj and a HUGE serving of hummus. They top it with not one, not two, not three but freaking FIVE HUMONGOUS FRESH falafels. Story time: the first time I went to Oasis, I thought one of the employees was crushing on me...so when he gave me five falafels I was like "oh it's cause he likes me" because all restaurants give 2-3 small ones. Nope, not the case @vegan.bklyn.foodie.

They give 5 to EVERYONE!!!! You get a falafel and you get a falafel and you get a falafel....EVERYONE GETS FALAFEL!

They dress the plate with a copious amount of fresh ass tahini and some fresh hot sauce with pepper flakes. Also the guy asked me if I wanted tahini, do people actually say no to that question?!

Price: Drummmmm Rolllllllll.......$7 DOLLARS. (I ordered a seltzer so my total was $8.20) I now rest my case in convincing you all to venture to Oasis to experience the middle eastern culture and THE best and CHEAPEST falafel in Brooklyn and NYC.
