Every person dreams of carbs being available 24 hours 7 days a week and if you don't. You are not human.

Let me tell you a little story about Bagelsmith Bedford. I had just moved to Brooklyn and was grieving (Yes actual tears were present) over not being near one of my favorite bagel stores in Queens, NY anymore. I felt lost and sad and too many emotions that should not be happening for just bagels. So I began searching for a replacement and THANK G-D for #googlemaps that showed Bagelsmith Bedford as the top bagel spot near me. I walked in and already fell in love with the way they take down food orders.

Written on a post it: bagel, smear, toasted (or not), name. NEXT CUSTOMER

Raise your hand if you have been PERSONALLY victimized by a humongous line at a bagel store. My hand is firmly in the air. I have been to Bagelsmith Beford during prime-time rush hour, early weekend mornings, brunch time and late nights. The line moves quicker than a snicker? (That's not right...but you get the point).

First things first, the bagels are fantastic. I am pretty sure I told my sister (@mallorychase.nutrition) upon first bite that it was one of the best bagels I have ever had and better than my previous Queens spot. NO TOASTED NEEDED. These bagels were so thick, doughy soft and fresh. You can tell that they really make the effort to make the flavor stand out in the bagel.

The salt bagel: real salty garnished with those huge salt crystal

The blueberry bagel:fresh blueberries that pop in your mouth with each bite

The cinnamon raisin bagel: I am a huge cinnamon fan so this one was my favorite

The everything bagel: Great garlic, salt and sesame seed ratio.

They have a variety of smears to put on top of the bagel and each one is dynamite. My favorite one: Olive Pimento Tofu. You ever get olive tofu and they always give you the cheap black olives that have absolutely no flavor and water down the cream cheese?!GREEN OLIVES always choose green and this bagel store was the first establishment that I have seen to put green olives in their tofu cream cheese! For every 3 bagels I buy a week, I usually order the olive 2 out of the three times. It is that.damn.good. Another great one that hasn't been seen before: Mixed Berry Tofu. This one makes you feel like your having a danish for breakfast which I was not mad about. A couple bites in and I was chewing on fresh slices of strawberries. Pictured: Peanut Butter and Jelly (never really one to order this on a bagel but damn I am going to start now!) and Roasted Tomato Tofu (Very good! but probably will only have it once because I am not a huge roasted tomato fan...texture problem).

Bagelsmith Bedford also has amazing iced hazelnut coffee that doesn't come fru fru size when you order the large (brooklyners you know what I am talking about...ask for a large get an EXTRA EXTRA small). As you can see by the amount of pictures, this place is a staple in my mourning routine. My drive to work could be 11 minutes but it is 21 minutes thanks to them. I literally drive 10 minutes away from work just to hit this place up. I run on Bagelsmith Bedford in NYC and I think it is time that you do too!
